When axe throwing took center stage in lumberjack competitions in the 1940s, audiences were thrilled to watch American woodsmen show off their mad skills. Now, thanks to Group Therapy’s axpert instructors, you can show up with no axe-throwing skills and leave as a master of the art!

Hitting a regular bulls-eye isn’t your thing? How about some Tic Tac Throw? Or maybe you could hack it as a duck hunter. Our interactive projected targets offer new levels of fun for everyone.

You’re the spontaneous type, huh? Sure, go ahead and stop by! We can’t guarantee you’ll find an axe-throwing lane open if you don’t book in advance, but if there’s one available we’ll be happy to set you up!
If axe-throwing spots are already booked, we’ll have plenty of other options for you to choose from, including indoor mini golf, duckpin bowling, multi-sport golf sim, ice curling, ping pong, and more!
Good news: You don’t have to dress like a lumberjack to throw like one. If long-sleeve flannel shirts and denim aren’t your vibe, no stress! However, there IS one thing you’ll never find a lumberjack wearing – sandals. (I mean, who would take a woodsman in flip-flops seriously?) For the love of your feet, Group Therapy requires close-toed shoes (not heels!) for axe throwing.
If you forget and show up with sandals, you’ll be required to rent shoes (which come with a pair of socks) for $5.
As a general rule, we also request that both staff and guests dress in smart, casual attire. Please avoid beachwear, activewear that is overly revealing, baseball caps, and casual athletic wear.
Kids ages 10+ are allowed to participate in axe throwing if they have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian and are accompanied by an adult who is 18 years or older. For children under the age of 10, we have other great entertainment options available so they can have a blast without throwing an axe!
Please Note: After 9 p.m. on Friday & Saturday Group Therapy admits adults only, ages 18+.
Each axe-throwing lane is a one-hour experience. If you’d like a longer period, all you have to do is make a second reservation.
P.S. Feel free to stick around afterwards to grab some food or another drink, or jump into another Group Therapy experience!
Yes and yes. As long as you abide by the safety rules of our instructors, you can enjoy your favorite beverages as you warm up and take aim.
Absolutely! In fact, you’ll find that successful axe throwing is based more on form and technique than on a muscular physique. Once you receive training from our instructors, you’ll learn how to grip and launch an axe with increasing precision, using very little effort.
Better question: How soon can I have an axe-throwing party at Group Therapy? What better party can be had than at an indoor pub and playground?! All we ask is that you get a headcount and, if more than 8 people are planning to attend, give us a call so we can check bookings and ensure you get all the lanes you need for an axe-throwing party in Fayetteville, that you and your guests will never forget!

Of course. Axe-throwing tickets are no good if you can’t throw axes! You have a right to change or cancel your booking within 24 hours of the reservation time. After that your tickets are non-refundable. (But you could still share the love of axe throwing by transferring them to someone else!)
